Tenable AI Exposure Management platform extends security across AI tools

Organisations are increasingly adopting AI, but with this growth comes a rise in security risks. To tackle these challenges, Tenable is expanding its AI exposure management solutions to help businesses get a clearer picture of how AI is being used, find hidden vulnerabilities, and improve governance across various AI platforms and tools for developers.
Recently, Tenable enhanced its Tenable One Exposure Management Platform to include support for prominent AI systems like Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise, and Microsoft Copilot. This update also allows for discovery within significant Model Context Protocol (MCP) deployments and AI-native Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), giving security teams a more comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with AI.
Tenable One AI Exposure platform broadens AI visibility
The Tenable One AI Exposure platform continuously identifies both authorised and unauthorised AI usage across different environments, including on-premises systems, cloud platforms, and applications utilising large language models (LLMs). By utilising the Tenable Exposure Graph, organisations can visualise their AI assets and pinpoint where AI is being used, the risks involved, and which areas need security measures.
A recent report from Tenable revealed that they found 457 million AI-related security issues in over 7,000 organisations within just 30 days, illustrating how quickly AI-related security exposures are becoming common in enterprise settings.
AI platform exposure management improves remediation
This latest update not only improves the management of AI-related security risks but also speeds up response times. Security teams can easily create remediation tickets in platforms like Jira and ServiceNow, or send automated alerts through email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams when they detect violations of security policies.
Eric Doerr, Tenable’s Chief Product Officer, noted that AI is advancing quicker than many organisations can manage. He emphasised that by extending their coverage to Google Gemini, MCP deployments, and AI-native IDEs, Tenable is providing a unified approach to visibility and governance across key AI models and tools.
