CAIT to host Global investors meet in Moscow to connect Indian MSMEs with Russian buyers

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and Brands & Sourcing Leaders Association (BSL) are set to organise the Global Investors Meet in Moscow, Russia, from 20th to 22nd May 2026, with a focus on strengthening B2B trade opportunities between India and Russia.
The event is positioned as a multi-sectoral business networking platform designed to connect Indian MSMEs, traders, brands, retailers and entrepreneurs with Russian buyers, investors and business partners. The organisers are inviting participation from Indian large business houses, women and youth entrepreneurs, garment manufacturers, yarn and fabric mills, home textiles companies and handicraft businesses.
Moscow delegation to focus on trade expansion opportunities
The three-day business delegation is expected to centre around networking, market access and long-term trade collaboration opportunities for Indian businesses looking to expand into Russia and neighbouring Eurasian markets.
According to the event details, the delegation aims to help Indian companies understand export market opportunities in Russia while facilitating meetings with buyers across multiple sectors and industries. The organisers have also highlighted long-term trade and investment collaboration as a key objective of the initiative.
The programme is expected to include pre-scheduled B2B meetings, networking forums and interpreter support to help Indian participants engage with Russian investors and verified buyers.
Multiple sectors expected to participate
The Global Investors Meet will cover a broad range of industries, including textiles, apparel and fashion, wellness and Ayurveda, agri products, lifestyle products, home and lifestyle, footwear and leather products, food products and handicrafts.
The organisers believe these sectors have strong potential for trade expansion in the Russian market, particularly as Russian consumers increasingly seek affordable and competitive alternatives across product categories.
The event is also expected to create opportunities for Indian businesses operating in pharmaceuticals, textiles, food and IT, sectors identified in the programme document as areas with untapped demand in Russia.
Organisers highlight Russia’s strategic market potential
The event document describes Russia as a large and relatively underserved market with a population of over 140 million people and opportunities across multiple industries.
The organisers have also pointed to the long-standing trade and diplomatic relationship between India and Russia as an important factor that could help Indian entrepreneurs expand with comparatively fewer political barriers than some Western markets.
Another major focus of the initiative is Moscow’s position as a strategic gateway connecting Europe and Asia. The organisers believe Indian businesses establishing relationships in Moscow could potentially access neighbouring Eurasian markets through future partnerships and collaborations.
Delegation package includes B2B meetings and networking support
According to the event details, the programme fee for the Moscow delegation has been fixed at Rs 3 Lakhs per delegate on a non-refundable advance payment basis.
The package includes pre-scheduled B2B meetings, local transport in Moscow, a three-night hotel stay, translation support and access to networking events and business forums. However, international airfare, visa fees, travel insurance and personal expenses are excluded from the package.
The organisers have stated that additional meetings outside the planned schedule may involve extra charges.
Business outcomes expected over several months
The event document notes that participating businesses may receive initial business leads during the meetings, while follow-up discussions and deal closures could take place over a longer timeline ranging from one month to nine months, depending on sectors, pricing structures and negotiation cycles.
Participation in the delegation will remain subject to profile approval and business matchmaking suitability. The organisers have also clarified that business deals are not guaranteed and participants will need to adhere to the official delegation schedule.
Limited seats available for the Moscow delegation
The organisers have announced that the delegation will be limited to 30 participants, with selection taking place on a first-come and profile basis.
Applications for the Global Investors Meet delegation will remain open until 8th May 2026. The event is being positioned as an effort to build stronger business bridges between India and Russia through direct engagement with Russian brands, buyers and investors.\
